Gilt & Silk - 17th Century Costume at the Burrell Collection

Fascinating deconstruction and reproduction of a 17th Century jacket. I am very intrigued by the detached button hole stitch. It reminds me of the Native American use of the lazy stitch in beading where the thread is attached to the buckskin in only two places with the beads floating on the surface.
