My fave needles are the regular Inox (grey enamel over steel).
The nickel plated ones are great for tight knitters -- but I knit loosely and they are too slippery for me (and when the sun glints off them, they blind me temporarily!).

I keep putting off putting in another order at Schoolhouse because I can't decide which yarn to start with. A best friend, hello Jeannie, has a grandbaby coming soon, so I think it will be their new alpaca! I want to make EZ's baby blanket from her Knitters Almanac. This baby is due in November so I'm going to have to knit it out of order for Kelley's KA KAL.

I had a pair of Inox sock needles and they drove me nut because the stitches kept sliding off. But I bet they are good for lace. I usually use addi turbos for lace. I bet the Knit Picks needles are good too.
ReplyDeleteHi...by the way, I'm stopping by from the EZ yahoo group.
Hi Jenni!
ReplyDeleteMeg knits a lot of lace so I thought I'd try them. I like bamboo DPN's for sock knitting, but I have a lot of old plastic ones from the '50's that have a nice drag to them, but not as much as the bamboo.
I have seen the new Addi turbo lace needles, but their tips aren't pointed enough for me. The ones I've found that have the nicest points are actually either old Boyes or Bates, I don't recall which they are now. They have better points than the Addi lace needles. I'll try the Inox and see how they go. Haven't tried the KP needles yet. I'll have to give them a go. Anyone knit lace with these and like the points?
Thanks for leaving a comment :).
