Tour de Fleece-Day 22

Managed to spin the one pound of Corriedale X singles for my planned Aran sweater. The bobbins are stuffed...5oz per. The Yarn sample came out at 14 tpi's for a 3 ply. Maaged to get in a couple of 3 ply sock yarns while I was at it. Watermelon, and Mossy. The yarn sample looks good. Sampling the Corrie X on my spindle provided a lovely 2 ply. I see lace in this fleece's future as well.

Three weeks of spinning fun. I always like to dedicate myself to the TdFleece. I manage to get past some roadblocks in my spinning.

  1. You're going PRO Mo ! ;-) Looks outstanding !

I should have done the TDFleece, but I'm not sure I even know much about it. Perhaps you can explain, so I can do it late. ANyway, other questions about your blog format , but Iwill ask you in person at the Sonoma Spinners Meet-Up.

  2. The Tour de Fleece is a Ravelry project where you challenge yourself to complete some spinning goal during the Tour de France. My goal was to spin 1 pound of Corriedale fleece I had washed last year. I spun one pound of the fleece into singles for a 3 ply sweater, as well as managed to chain ply 2 different commercial rovings for socks.
